Narrative Description:
A spectacular succulent, so called the "African Milk Tree" owing to the sap within, but also known as the "Cathedral Cactus" due to the fact that they can grow to 80cm if allowed to mature. Closely packed stems are flushed magenta-red in colour and produce small lanceolate leaves in spring.
Ideal Conditions:
Prefers full sun or partial shade in free draining soil or compost.
Possible Situation:
Perfect as a house plant, or for summer containers in sheltered locations.
